Water in El Negrito
El Negrito is a community in northern Santiago del Estero. During the dry months, its 60 inhabitants had to rely on water sources unsuitable for human consumption and transport their animals several kilometers in search of reservoirs. We worked with the community to build rainwater harvesting and storage systems and installed a solar pump at each home for extracting water for the animals.
