The visitation time is the most cherished moment for incarcerated women. To improve the quality of life for women deprived of their freedom and for the children who visit them, we are working in Unit 47 to transform the visitation area into a space that fosters connection, bonding, and recreation. The project includes participatory design and the construction of the space with women from different cellblocks.
